Big Bang (Korean: 빅뱅) is a Korean hip hop & R&B group composed of five members, each contributing different vocal or rapping parts. They are considered to be the new face of the YG Family.[1] Debuting in 2006, they quickly became popular, and experienced great success in 2007 with the release of their single "Lies", shooting the five-member boy band into super stardom as one of the biggest boy bands in Korea \[2] Big Bang have been noted for their music as well as their taste in fashion, becoming famous throughout the country in the process
